The Los Angeles Kings chalked up their first win on the road Tuesday night, beating the Dallas Stars 3-1 at the American Airlines Center in Dallas.
While the Stars scored the first goal of the game, the Kings were able to bounce back in the second and third periods with three goals by Trevor Lewis, Dustin Brown and Kyle Clifford.
“We played our game,” said Kings right win Dustin Brown. “Five guys back, blocking shots, helping each other out. We made a lot more tape-to-tape passes tonight which allowed us to play more in their end.”
With Tuesday’s win, the Kings finished their five-game road trip at 1-3-1 as they head back to Los Angeles. The Kings have won their past six games on home ice and are currently sitting with a 7-4-2 record.
The Kings will host the New York Islanders at the Staples Center at 7:30 p.m. Thursday.
