Emmy-winning television producer Steven Bochco will throw a ceremonial first pitch Sunday at Dodger Stadium in connection with the conclusion of the Los Angeles Dodgers’ ninth annual “ThinkCure!” weekend.
Bochco will be joined in throwing the first pitch before the game against the Pittsburgh Pirates by Dr. Stephen J. Forman, the leader of the Hematologic Malignancies and Stem Cell Transplantation Institute at City of Hope that treated him for leukemia.
The annual “ThinkCure!” event has raised more than $2 million to accelerate collaborative research to cure cancer, according to an official with the City of Hope, the Duarte-based independent research and treatment center for cancer, diabetes and other life-threatening diseases.
