Just before the first regular season games get under way this week, the Los Angeles Rams re-signed defensive tackle Cam Thomas.
The re-signing came three days after the team terminated his contract as part of the cut to the NFL’s 53-player regular-season limit.
Thomas signed with the Rams in June after playing the past two seasons with Pittsburgh and the first four seasons of his NFL career with the San Diego Chargers.
The Rams cut guard David Arkin to make room for Thomas on the roster. Arkin played all four preseason games after spending part of last season on the Rams practice squad. The only regular-season game he has played was in 2013 with the Miami Dolphins.
