Better not bring that big bag, large purse or camera container to see the Los Angeles Galaxy at StubHub Center play host to the Houston Dynamo.
Officials won’t let any of those larger bags into the stadium as new rules take effect Saturday, presumably for beefed up security.
Clear plastic or clear vinyl bags not exceeding 12 inches by six inches by 12 inches will be permitted, along with one-gallon clear plastic freezer bags.
Small clutch bags, approximately the size of a hand, with or without a handle or strap can be taken into the stadium with one of the clear plastic bags.
Exceptions will be made for medically necessary items after proper inspection at a gate designated for that purpose, an official with the Major League Soccer team said.
Prohibited items into StubHub Center include purses larger than a clutch bag, coolers, briefcases, backpacks, fanny packs, cinch bags, luggage of any kind, computer bags and camera bags or any bag larger than the permissible size.
More information on the bag policy is available online at lagalaxy.com/bagpolicy.
The first 12,500 fans entering the stadium Saturday will receive a clear, Galaxy-branded bag. Season-ticket holders can receive a complimentary clear Galaxy bag that can be collected at the Item Pick-Up booth on June 24 and July 4.
Clear Galaxy bags will be available for purchase at the Galaxy Team Store. Clear bags are also included with the Cozmo Club membership that benefits the LA Galaxy Foundation.
