Fans 14 and under will have their final chance in 2018 to run the bases at Dodger Stadium Sunday as the Los Angeles Dodgers play their last regular-season home game of the season.

Steve Garvey, Don Newcombe and Fernando Valenzuela will be introduced to the crowd at the game against the San Diego Padres, two days after the team announced they will make up the inaugural class of the Legends of Dodger Baseball.

Beginning in 2019, the team will induct Dodger greats into the Legends of Dodger Baseball in recognition of their impact on the franchise, both on and off the field.

Inductees will receive a plaque honoring their Dodger achievements, which will also be on permanent display at Dodger Stadium.

“The Legends of Dodger Baseball program is the first of many new developments that we plan to roll out as we approach the 2020 All-Star Game, including the creation of a permanent home to celebrate the great players, personnel and moments that have helped make the Dodgers one of the most storied institutions in professional sports,” Dodger President and CEO Stan Kasten said.

Olympic gold medal-winning gymnast Laurie Hernandez will throw the first pitch.

U.S. Navy Petty Officer First Class Rafael Johnson-Romero will be honored as the Military Hero of the Game.

Johnson-Romero joined the Navy in 2005. He has served aboard the USS Bataan, USS McClusky and USS Gridley.

Johnson-Romero has completed deployments to South America, the Mediterranean Sea, the Middle East, Caribbean and Pacific.

Johnson-Romero is the command pay and personnel administrator for Strike Fighter Squadron 147 based at Naval Air Station Lemoore.

Johnson-Romero’s awards include four Navy and Marine Corps achievement medals.

The first 40,000 ticketed fans in attendance while supplies last at guest’s point of entry will receive an Orel Hershiser scoreless inning streak anniversary bobblehead.

The game is Fan Appreciation Day with prizes to be announced throughout the game.

The Dodgers enter Sunday’s play 1 1/2 games ahead of the Colorado Rockies in the race for the NL West lead. The Dodgers have seven games remaining, one less than Colorado.

The Dodgers will be assured of the NL West title with any combination of Dodger victories and Rocky losses totaling seven.
