Mike Trout will attempt Sunday to become the 307th player in Major League Baseball history with 1,000 RBIs when the Angels conclude a four-game series against the Seattle Mariners at Angel Stadium, four games after driving in his 999th run.

Trout is 1-for-12 with four strikeouts and four walks since hitting a solo home run in Wednesday’s 6-3 loss to the New York Mets at Citi Field. He is 0-for-4 with two walks with runners in scoring position during that span.

Trout is 3-for-8 with one home run and two RBIs against right-hander Logan Gilbert, who is scheduled to start for the Mariners. They have not faced each other since 2023.

Trout is one behind Darryl Strawberry on the career RBI list and three behind George Bell. He is seeking to join Garret Anderson (1,292) and Tim Salmon (1,016) with 1,000 RBIs with the Angels.

The 1:07 p.m. game will be televised by Roku.
