The average price of a gallon of self-serve regular gasoline in Los Angeles County dropped two-tenths of a cent Thursday to $4.648, one day after rising four-tenths of a cent.
The average price is nine-tenths of a cent less than one week ago, 17.6 cents lower than one month ago and 14.8 cents below what it was one year ago, according to figures from AAA and the Oil Price Information Service. It has dropped $1.845 since rising to a record $6.493 on Oct. 5, 2022.
The Orange County average price dropped one-tenth of a cent to $4.561. It is eight-tenths of a cent less than one week ago, 18.3 cents lower than one month ago and 12 cents below what it was one year ago. It has dropped $1.897 since rising to a record $6.458 on Oct. 5, 2022.
The national average price rose for the ninth consecutive day, increasing 1.8 cents to $3.205. It has risen 8.4 cents over the past nine days, including 2 cents Wednesday.
The national average price is 7.7 cents more than one week ago and 2.6 cents higher than one month ago, but 24.4 cents less than one year ago. It has dropped $1.811 since rising to a record $5.016 on June 14, 2022.
