An ATV rider who died in an off-road crash was identified Friday as a 35-year-old Desert Hot Springs woman.
The crash that killed Maria Delagadillo occurred in open desert at 6:38 p.m. Thursday in the hills about a quarter-mile north of Corkill Road in Desert Hot Springs, according to the Riverside County Sheriff’s Department.
Delagadillo was thrown from the ATV, the Riverside County Fire Department reported. It was unclear if she was riding alone, and unclear what caused the crash.
Despite attempts by paramedics to save her, she was pronounced dead at the scene.
