Just half an acre stands destroyed Sunday, after firefighters made quick work of a fire in Riverside, authorities said.
The Riverside Fire Department learned of a brush fire near the intersection of Arlington Avenue and Fairhaven Drive just before 9 p.m. Saturday.
Crews arrived in the undeveloped area to find a slow-moving fire in annual grasses, and gained the upper hand within 20 minutes.
There was no property loss associated with the fire.
