A woman was fatally struck by a train Sunday in the city of Riverside.
The collision at Columbia Avenue happened just before 4 p.m., according to the Riverside Fire Department.
The woman died at the scene. Her name was withheld pending notification of next of kin. She appeared to be between 25 and 35 years old, the fire department reported.
The crash remained under investigation by authorities.
