A big rig flipped over on Interstate 10 near Chiriaco Summit Monday morning, blocking traffic lanes and triggering a hazardous materials response to clean up 50 gallons of leaked diesel fuel.
The non-injury solo vehicle crash was reported about 6:30 a.m. on the eastbound I-10, roughly seven miles east of Summit Road and 30 miles east of Indio, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The crash initially blocked both eastbound lanes, although traffic was reported to be flowing through the fast lane as of 7:40 a.m., the CHP reported.
