The average price of a gallon of self-serve regular gasoline in Riverside County dropped two-tenths of a cent Monday to $3.116, one day after decreasing one-tenth of a cent.
The average price has dropped five of the past six days, decreasing 1.2 cents to its lowest amount since July 24, according to figures from the AAA and Oil Price Information Service.
The average price is 1.1 cents less than one week ago, 2.7 cents below one month ago and 91.1 cents cheaper than one year ago. It has dropped 39.2 cents since the start of the year.
Stations were allowed to begin selling winter blend gasoline, which is cheaper to produce, on Sunday.
