Two juveniles were hospitalized Sunday after being trapped under an off-road vehicle when it crashed in the Box Canyon area.
The crash occurred at about 1:45 p.m. near the intersection of Box Canyon and Painted Canyon roads, east of Mecca, according to the California Highway Patrol.
Riverside County Fire Department paramedics responded to the scene and took the two juveniles to a hospital, though the extent of their injuries was not immediately available.
