The average price of a gallon of self-serve regular gasoline in Riverside County rose Monday for the sixth consecutive day after dropping six of the previous eight days to its lowest amount since July 21.

The average price rose three-tenths of a cent to $3.121, according to figures released Monday by the AAA and Oil Price Information Service. It has increased 2.4 cents over the past six days, including seven-tenths of a cent on Sunday, after dropping 1.5 cents over the previous eight days.

The average price is 2.2 cents more than one week ago but three-tenths of a cent less than one month ago and 63.1 cents lower than one year ago. It has dropped 38.7 cents since the start of the year.
