The average price of a gallon of self-serve regular gasoline in Riverside County rose one cent Friday to $3.147, its highest amount since Sept. 29, but the lowest it’s been on Christmas Day since 2017.
The average price has increased seven of the past eight days, jumping 3.5 cents.
It is 3.1 cents more than one week ago and 4.7 cents more than one month ago, but 37.8 cents less than a year ago, according to figures from the AAA and Oil Price Information Service.
