Maybe we won’t be getting those expected thunderstorms, lightning and torrential rains after all.

While there’s still a chance for some precipitation and thunder and lighning coming up, the probability of that kind of weather pattern seems to have diminished a bit.

The National Weather Service forecast for Los Angeles and vicinity Wednesday calls for low clouds and fog in the morning then partly cloudy. Highs from the mid 70s to around 80 at the beaches to the mid to upper 80s inland.

Wednesday night it will be partly cloudy in the evening then becoming mostly cloudy. A 20 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms late.

The forecast for Thursday calls for partly to mostly cloudy with a 20 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms. Highs from the mid to upper 70s at the beaches to the mid to upper 80s inland.

The ultraviolet index level for Wednesday is moderate 6, according to the weather service. A moderate exposure level of 5-6 indicates that a person with a fair complexion could be safe from sun burn for 10-12 minutes, unless protected.
