Los Angeles Mayor Eric Garcetti is scheduled to leave the Southland for the fourth time in three weeks, and second time in two days, Saturday, bound for South Carolina for political events.
Garcetti is scheduled to be in Charleston, South Carolina on Sunday to give the keynote address for the Charleston County Democratic Party’s annual Blue Jamboree, and attend church services and an event in support of Joe Cunningham, who is running for Congress in South Carolina’s 1st District.
Garcetti is set to be in Las Vegas on Monday to speak at the United Brotherhood of Carpenters International Training Center, and the Culinary Union Local 226 get-out-the-vote rally in support U.S. Senate candidate Jacky Rosen, gubernatorial candidate Steve Sisolak and congressional candidates Susie Lee and Steven Horsford.
Garcetti also plans to attend separate events in support of Horsford and Rosen.
The mayor delivered the keynote address at the 2018 U.S. Olympic and Paralympic Assembly Awards Dinner in Colorado Springs on Friday, then returned to the Southland to join comedian Billy Crystal for Saturday’s grand opening of Palisades Village, a restaurant and shopping center described by its owner as a “walkable village” home “to over 40 uniquely curated boutiques, entertainment and fresh food experiences.”
Garcetti was in San Francisco last week, speaking at the Global Climate Action Summit and Cities4Climate: The Future is Us conference. He was in Ohio two weeks ago for a series of political events.
