A wind advisory is in effect for parts of the Los Angeles County until 9 a.m. Friday, according to the National Weather Service.
North winds from 20 mph to 30 mph, with gusts up to 55 mph, are expected in Los Angeles County mountains. The strongest winds are forecast in the Interstate 5 corridor.
Lockwood Valley, Mount Pinos, Acton and Mount Wilson are areas that are expected to be affected. Castaic, Newhall, Valencia and portions of the Santa Clarita Valley will also be affected.
