Detectives Thursday sought the public’s help in locating a 40- year-old man who went missing last month after driving from a relative’s home in Azusa.

Christopher Jay Poland was last seen about 2:30 a.m. on July 14 leaving a home on East Fork Road, according to Deputy Juanita Navarro-Suarez of the Sheriff’s Information Bureau.

His vehicle was later found on Glendora Ridge Road.

Poland is white, 6 feet 2 inches tall, weighs 220 pounds, and has short blond hair and blue eyes. He has a 1- to 2-inch scar below his chin, a tattoo of a tree on his right lower leg, a tattoo of a starfish, on his left elbow and two Viking tattoos on his upper back.

Poland was wearing gray shorts and brown work boots when last seen.

Anyone with information regarding his whereabouts was urged to call the Missing Persons Detail of the Sheriff’s Homicide Bureau at (323) 890-5500 and ask for Sgt. Nunez or Detective Abraham. Anonymous tips may be submitted to Crime Stoppers at (800) 222-8477.
