A body was discovered floating Saturday near one of the water pumping stations of the California Aqueduct in Palmdale, authorities said.
The discovery was made about 5:40 p.m. in the 3600 block of Sierra Highway at Rae Street, according to Lt. M. Marion of the Palmdale Sheriff’s Station.
No further information was available, he said.
A news videographer at the scene said a man who wanted to fish along the aqueduct made the discovery at a water gate.
