Los Angeles Fire Department firefighters quickly knocked down a fire at a vacant, one-story home Friday in Van Nuys.

Fire crews were called at 2:04 a.m. to 14648 W. Gilmore St. between Vesper and Cedros avenues, where they found the residence fully involved with fire, said LAFD spokesman Brian Humphrey.

It took 48 firefighters 30 minutes to extinguish the flames.

No injuries were reported.
