One person was injured Wednesday in a mobile home fire in Huntington Beach.
Few details were available, and it was not known if the victim was homeless living in the vehicle.
The fire came the day after the Los Angeles City Council voted to ban homeless people from living in their vehicles in residential areas of that nearby metropolis.
Firefighters responded to the 7600 block of Garfield Avenue at 2:21 a.m. and knocked down the fire in about 20 minutes, according to a Huntington Beach Fire Department dispatcher.
One person was inside the mobile home during the fire but no official information was immediately released on the victim’s age, gender or condition. A videographer reported from the scene that the victim is a man in his 60s and that he suffered severe burns.
The cause of the fire was under investigation, the dispatcher said.
