A 15-year-old boy wounded in an apparent gang shooting in a Santa Ana neighborhood died Monday at a hospital, according to news reports.
Police said they were hunting the occupants of a dark-colored vehicle that was seen in the area at the time of the shooting. They asked for the public’s help in tracking down the teen’s killer.
Authorities said the murder appeared to be gang related.
Family members identified the victim as Valley High School student Isaac Gonzalez, according to KNBC4.
Officers were dispatched Saturday to the 2300 block of West Saint Gertrude Place, and found the boy with several gunshot wounds, the Santa Ana Police Department said.
Paramedics rushed the teen to an area hospital in critical condition.
