A person was hit by a Metrolink train and killed Tuesday in the Pacoima area, authorities said.
Firefighters were sent to the 9800 block of San Fernando Road about 10:45 a.m., where the person died, said Brian Humphrey of the Los Angeles Fire Department.
Information was not immediately available on the victim’s identity.
The person had been hit by Metrolink AV line train No. 212, Humphrey said. No one was injured on the train.
According to Metrolink, the train was en route to Los Angeles when it hit the pedestrian, and buses were sent to the area to pick up rail passengers.
