A man fatally struck by a white Jeep Cherokee driven by a hit-and-run motorist in Santa Ana was a Garden Grove resident.
Norman Kent was 81, according to Supervising Deputy Orange County Coroner Larry Esslinger.
Police received several calls at about 9:25 p.m. Friday of a man down in the roadway at the intersection of Harbor Boulevard and McFadden Avenue, Santa Ana police said. Paramedics dispatched to the location pronounced the victim dead at the scene.
Kent was standing on the center median of McFadden when he was struck by the westbound vehicle, police said.
