A 65-year-old man who died at a hospital after suffering what appeared to be non-life-threatening Long Beach crash injuries was publicly identified Monday.
Thy Prum was a Lakewood resident.
Prum was driving a 2005 Honda northbound on Orange Avenue, at Wardlow Road, when he went off the road and into a pole about 8 a.m. Tuesday, according to the Long Beach Police Department. He was the only occupant of the vehicle.
The motorist was taken to a hospital with injuries that initially did not appear to be life-threatening, police said. About 3:30 p.m., investigators were notified of his death.
The coroner’s office did not indicate in its newsrelease whether Prum died from injuries sustained during the accident or other factors.
