A motor home caught fire and “exploded” Thursday morning in the unincorporated Nuevo area of Riverside County near Hemet, but no injuries were immediately reported.
The explosion was reported at 9:16 a.m. in the area of 13th Street and Reservoir Avenue, according to the California Highway Patrol.
A witness reported hearing the explosion and seeing black smoke in the area. It was unclear what caused the fire.
Riverside County Sheriff’s Department deputies were called to the scene to assist.
