Two vehicles overturned Wednesday evening on eastbound state Route 60 in Moreno Valley, shutting down a stretch of the freeway until further notice.
The crash was reported about 10:30 p.m. near Gilman Springs Road, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The overturned vehicles blocked both eastbound lanes of the freeway, the CHP said.
It was unclear if anyone was injured.
About 11:25 p.m., Caltrans announced the closure of the freeway near Gilman Springs Road for an unknown duration.
