A Riverside County Sheriff’s Department deputy was shot in Thousand Palms Wednesday evening and a suspect was arrested.
The shooting occurred near Ramon and Robert roads around 8 p.m. Wednesday, according to the Riverside County Sheriff’s Department. The deputy was taken to a hospital in unknown condition, authorities said.
It’s unclear what may have motivated the shooting.
