A motorist was killed Saturday when a car crashed into his vehicle as he was turning in a Lancaster intersection.
The crash happened about 2:45 p.m. Saturday at 17th Street East and Avenue K, according to sheriff’s traffic Det. Jorge Diaz.
The man in a Kia Forte was turning southbound onto 17th Street East from Avenue K when his car was struck by a Subaru WRX that was eastbound on Avenue K, Diaz said.
Paramedics took the man to Antelope Valley Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead, the detective said. His name was not immediately released.
The woman driving the Subaru remained at the scene. The cause of the crash remained under investigation, Diaz said.
