A Silver Alert was in effect Saturday for an 81-year-old woman last seen in Long Beach.
Billie Jean Donaldson was last seen at approximately 4 p.m. Friday near Atlantic Avenue and Aloha Circle, according to the California Highway Patrol, which issued the alert on behalf of the Long Beach Police Department.
Donaldson, who has memory issues and may become disoriented, left her home in the 6400 block of Atlantic Avenue on foot, with a possible destination of the city of Carson, according to Long Beach police.
She was described as Black, 5-feet-2 inches tall, weighs 165 pounds, has gray hair and brown eyes. She was last seen wearing black shoes, a black shirt and black pants. She is believed to be on foot, the CHP reported.
Anyone with information regarding Donaldson’s whereabouts was asked to call 911.
The Silver Alert program was established by the CHP to issue and coordinate alerts involving the unexplained or suspicious disappearances of elderly, developmentally disabled or cognitively impaired individuals.
