Two students suffering from undisclosed illnesses at a Moreno Valley high school Wednesday were taken to a hospital for further evaluation.

The medical aid call was received shortly after 10 a.m. Wednesday at Canyon Springs High School on Cougar Canyon Road, according to the Riverside County Fire Department.

The agency said paramedics and an engine crew were sent to the location after staff in the campus Health Office reported that two youths required medical attention for unspecified reasons.

Officials at the scene said the students were unresponsive to questions and were taken by ambulance to nearby Riverside University Medical Center for further examination.

Their conditions reportedly were not life-threatening.

The Moreno Valley Unified School District did not immediately respond to questions about the students and their medical issues.
