Former USC tight end Bryce Dixon was jailed today in connection with a series of carjacking robberies.
Dixon, 19, was being held at the Los Angeles Police Department’s 77th Street Community Police Station jail in lieu of $100,000 bail, according to sheriff’s inmate records.
Dixon was arrested Tuesday on Van Ness Avenue in South Los Angeles in connection with a series of robberies in Los Angeles and Ventura County, LAPD Capt. Andrew Neiman told the Los Angeles Times.
Dixon was expelled from USC in May following allegations of sexual misconduct with a female USC student, who was an athletic trainer, The Times reported.
After a judge put the expulsion on hold, Dixon was allowed to re-enroll in the university, but was not allowed to rejoin the football team, according to The Times.
Dixon caught 14 passes for 198 yards and four touchdowns in 2014.
