Sheriff’s detectives Tuesday sought the public’s help in locating a 30-year-old woman missing from Torrance who suffers from a mental disorder.

Lavonta Brown was last seen on Monday in the 1000 block of West Carson Street, according to the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department.

She was described as Black, 5-feet-6 inches tall, 167 pounds with black hair, brown eyes and a tattoo on the right side of her neck.

Brown was wearing an olive green skirt and dark-colored pants when she was last seen.

Anyone with information regarding her whereabouts was urged to call the sheriff’s Missing Persons Detail at 323-890-5500.

    1. Black has been accepted as capitalized for some time now when used as a racial descriptor for people. Seems to me that the author may not write much, but they write enough to recognize the fluidity of English. Now you know for next time!
