A 52-year-old gang member on parole and suspected of being in the nation without legal permission was arrested in Anaheim, authorities announced Friday.

Sayan Chitamnath, a Cambodian native, was on parole, serving a 34-year sentence for attempted murder, robbery, auto theft, and weapons offenses, according to the Department of Homeland Security Los Angeles Field Office.

ICE Fugitive Operations personnel arrested Chitamnath, who remained in the custody of federal authorities and is expected to face possible deportation.

No additional information about Chitanmath was provided.
