The U.S. Small Business Administration announced Monday it will relocate its Disaster Loan Outreach Center in Pacific Palisades this week, continuing to provide assistance to residents, businesses and nonprofit organizations recovering from the wildfire.
The outreach center, which has been operating at the Ronald Reagan Palisades Post 283, will close at that location at 5 p.m. Tuesday and reopen Wednesday at The Pali Hub, located at 15239 La Cruz Drive.
Officials said the center offers personalized assistance to applicants seeking help with disaster loans related to damage from wildfires and winds that occurred between Jan. 7 and Jan. 31, 2025.
Walk-ins are accepted, though appointments can be scheduled in advance online.
A second outreach center remains open in Altadena at the Eaton Fire Collaborative, providing additional support for those affected by the disaster.
SBA officials said the application deadline for the disaster has passed, but the centers are continuing to assist individuals who have already applied and need help completing or advancing their applications. In some cases, new applications may still be accepted due to extraordinary circumstances.
The Palisades Fire destroyed more than 3,000 structures and killed 12 people last year.
“Recovery can be complex, and many survivors need follow-up support after submitting an application,” Chris Stallings, associate administrator for the Office of Disaster Recovery and Resilience at the SBA, said in a statement. “Our teams are here in the community to help survivors work through outstanding questions, disbursements, provide missing information, and better understand their options as they continue recovery.”
Applicants may also be eligible for loan increases of up to 20% of verified physical damage to fund mitigation improvements aimed at reducing the risk of future disaster damage, officials said.
