A judge has offered a court mediation service to Puka Nacua and a woman who alleges the Rams star wideout made antisemitic remarks and bit her during a New Year’s Eve 2025 event in Century City.
Plaintiff Madison Atiabi also alleges in her Santa Monica Superior Court gender violence/negligence complaint that Nacua threatened to ruin her name in the media. On Monday, Judge Lisa Sepe-Wiesenfeld said that if the parties try and mediate a settlement, the process should be completed by Nov. 27, 2027.
The judge said one option for the litigants is the Mediation Center of Los Angeles Referral Program that is administered by the Los Angeles Superior Court’s Alternative Dispute Resolution Office. She said the parties do not have to notify her of the status of mediation unless a settlement is reached.
Sepe-Wiesenfeld additionally scheduled a March 27, 2028, trial date if mediation fails. She said the date is a firm one and will not be postponed without a legally sufficient reason.
In her lawsuit filed March 25, Atiabi says she did not know Nacua would be at the dinner. She contends he “became intoxicated and was acting strange and touchy feely with the women at the dinner.”
In the presence of Atiabi and others, Nacua made an unprovoked antisemitic statement that made Atiabi “uncomfortable and emotionally distressed” given that she is herself Jewish, her suit states.
The suit further alleges that the 25-year-old Nacua “bit and severely injured plaintiff with all his teeth on her back.”
