A man was struck and killed by a vehicle in Huntington Beach while crossing a street, police said Wednesday.
The vehicle was traveling south on Beach Boulevard at Newman Avenue about 9:37 p.m. Tuesday when the man was struck, Huntington Beach Police Lt. Steve Bushhousen told City News Service.
The man suffered “serious injuries” from the crash and was taken to a hospital, where he was pronounced dead, Bushhousen said.
No arrests were made, and alcohol or drugs didn’t appear to be a factor, Bushhousen said.
The vehicle that struck the pedestrian was a van whose driver remained at the scene, NBC4 reported.
