A teenage girl was shot and wounded in El Sereno Wednesday and police said she’s refusing to give details about the shooting.

The gunfire was reported around midnight in the area of Huntington Drive and Lifur Avenue, said Sgt. Eddie Arangue of the Los Angeles Police Department’s Hollenbeck Division. The girl was a passenger in a vehicle when she was shot, Arangue said, adding that she was displaying stable vital signs as she was being driven to a hospital.

Arangue said police were investigating if the girl’s shooting was related to another shooting his division is investigating involving the wounding of a male in Boyle Heights. The shootings occurred within an hour of each other.
