A JetBlue airliner that landed at Los Angeles International Airport after a flight from Las Vegas was evacuated and searched by a bomb squad Thursday due to a threat allegedly made by a passenger who missed the flight.

The JetBlue plane was taken to the far western end of the LAX tarmac after it landed early Thursday afternoon. Buses were brought in to carry the passengers and crew to the airport terminal.

Reports from the scene indicated there was a total of about 70 people aboard.

Airport police said they were notified by authorities in Las Vegas that a man who had apparently missed the flight became disgruntled and made threatening remarks, suggesting there might be a bomb aboard the aircraft.

There were no reports of any injuries. The search of the plane was continuing late Thursday afternoon.
