The resident of a Garden Grove house was hospitalized Saturday evening with severe burns suffered in a garage fire.
The fire was reported at 7:38 p.m. Saturday by neighbors in the 8800 block of Aberdeen Lane, according to the Orange County Fire Authority.
Firefighters found the injured adult outside, flames blowing out of the garage and a dog running back inside the home, officials said.
Paramedics treated and transported the injured resident, rescued the dog and put out the fire in 16 minutes, officials said.
The cause of the fire was under investigation.
