The California Department of Transportation will continue working on a $241 million project on Interstate 10 in and near Blythe this week.
The project includes concrete pavement rehabilitation of some 88 lane miles, on and off ramps and shoulders, according to Caltrans.
Upgrades of curb ramps, sidewalks, crosswalk safety enhancements, push button posts to Americans with Disabilities Act standards and 11,950 linear feet of new guardrail systems are also included in the project.
Caltrans crews will also be working on bridge upgrades, new signage, landscaping and a beautification monument.
Crews are scheduled to do prep work Monday to Friday between 6 a.m. and 4:30 p.m.
No lane closures were scheduled, but speed limits will be reduced throughout the construction zone.
