A person was killed Saturday when a vehicle fell 50 feet over the side of a road in Beaumont, authorities said.
Firefighters responded to the intersection of Highway 79 and California Avenue at about 6:55 a.m. Saturday to a report of a vehicle that had fallen over the side of the road, the Riverside County Fire Department announced.
Responding firefighters found the lone occupant of the vehicle had perished at the scene.
The victim’s gender and age were not immediately available.
The California Highway Patrol assumed the investigation.
