One person was killed during a two-vehicle crash in Indio Sunday, the Riverside County Fire Department announced.
The crash was reported around 2:40 a.m. Sunday near the intersection of the Sonny Bono Memorial (10) Freeway and Monroe Street, according to the fire department.
One person was pronounced dead at the scene, and two others were rushed to a hospital by ground ambulance with moderate injuries.
The California Highway Patrol assumed the investigation.
The cause of the crash was not immediately known.
