A person was killed when a dark-colored sedan struck a center median Sunday morning, triggering a multi-vehicle crash on the Hollywood (101) Freeway in North Hollywood, authorities said.
The crash occurred about 4:55 a.m. on the northbound freeway at the Vineland Avenue off-ramp, the California Highway Patrol reported.
The CHP issued a SigAlert at 5:08 a.m. closing the northbound lanes of the freeway, at the Vineland Avenue off-ramp, for an unknown duration.
A representative from the Los Angeles County Medical Examiner’s Office was called to the scene at 5:22 a.m.
There was no other information was available.
