Indio’s Economic Development Department Tuesday announced the launch of Indio Business Connect, an initiative intended to support the local business environment.

Officials touted the program’s city-funded features for members, including “networking opportunities, business development resources and special events aimed at promoting collaboration and innovation.”

Membership is free for all businesses within Indio city limits.

The program also offers a 12-week Spanish-language program called Tú Sí Puedes! Programa para Pequeñas Empresas, in partnership with the Coachella Valley Women’s Business Center. There’s also an English version called “It’s Your Time,” at which participants can take advantage of seminars, business advising and related entrepreneurial resources.

IBC also offers a miniature MBA program through the Inland Empire Center for Entrepreneurship, ribbon-cutting and grand opening services, photography services, roundtable discussions on business topics, and expanded “shop local” initiatives such as seasonal events, one-on-one consulting and a monthly newsletter, Indio Impact.

Business owners can find more at indio.org/IBC.
