One person was rushed to a hospital in critical condition Saturday and two other people were hospitalized with minor injuries after a multi-vehicle collision in Coachella, authorities said.
The crash was reported at approximately 2 p.m. Saturday at the intersection of Avenue 50 and Van Buren Street, according to the Riverside County Fire Department.
Firefighters at the scene found a three-vehicle accident with power lines down requiring extraction of one victim, fire officials said.
Personnel from the Imperial Irrigation District were requested to assist with the downed pole and power lines.
