The average price of a gallon of self-serve regular gasoline in Los Angeles County dropped Thursday for the 10th consecutive day, decreasing 1.2 cents to $4.798.
The average price has dropped 8.9 cents over the past 10 days, including eight-tenths of a cent Wednesday, according to figures from the AAA and the Oil Price Information Service.
The 10 consecutive decreases follow a 12-day streak of increases totaling 26.4 cents that boosted the average price to its highest amount since April 10
The average price is 5.3 cents less than one week ago but 12 cents more than one month ago and 33.9 cents higher than one year ago. It has dropped $1.695 since rising to a record $6.493 on Oct. 5, 2022.
The Orange County average price also dropped for the 10th consecutive day, decreasing six-tenths of a cent to $4.739. It has dropped 11.5 cents over the past 10 days, including 1.2 cents Wednesday.
The Orange County average price is 6.1 cents less than one week ago but 9.6 cents more than one month ago and 36.5 cents higher than one year ago. It has dropped $1.719 since rising to a record $6.458 on Oct. 5, 2022.
The 11-day streak of increases totaling 28.6 cents that boosted the Orange County average price to its highest amount since April 9 ended Nov 10 when it was unchanged.
The national average price rose for the fourth consecutive day following back-to-back decreases of four-tenths of a cent, increasing six-tenths of a cent to $3.10. It has risen 2.8 cents over the past four days, including 1.7 cents Wednesday.
The national average price is 2 cents more than one week ago, 6.4 cents higher than one month ago and 3.4 cents greater than one year ago. It has dropped $1.916 since rising to a record $5.016 on June 14, 2022.
