The average price of a gallon of self-serve regular gasoline in Los Angeles County Wednesday dropped to its lowest amount since July 23, 2021, decreasing a half-cent to $4.355, one day after dropping 1 cent.
The average price is 3.7 cents less than one week ago, 17.6 cents lower than one month ago and 9.2 cents below what it was one year ago, according to figures from the AAA and Oil Price Information Service. It has dropped $2.139 since rising to a record $6.494 on Oct. 5, 2022.
The run of 10 decreases in 11 days totaling 7.6 cents that dropped the Orange County average price to its lowest amount since June 24, 2021, ended when it was unchanged, remaining at $4.238.
The Orange County average price is 4.4 cents less than one week ago, 19.6 cents lower than one month ago and 15.2 cents below what it was one year ago. It has dropped $2.221 since rising to a record $6.459 on Oct. 5, 2022.
The national average price rose for the third consecutive day following a three-day streak of decreases totaling 2.4 cents, rising 2 cents to $2.84. It has increased 4.5 cents over the past three days, including 2.4 cents Tuesday.
The national average price is 2.1 cents more than one week ago but 7 cents less than one month ago and 23.1 cents lower than one year ago. It has dropped $2.176 since rising to a record $5.016 on June 14, 2022.
