A new, open-air exhibition featuring seven sculptures by French neo-pop artist Richard Orlinski will soon be on display in Downtown Burbank.

The seven-sculpture exhibition is set to be on display from May 12 to July 21 at the AMC Walkway and the public will be able to visit free of charge.

“The Downtown Burbank Richard Orlinski Exhibition is exactly the kind of cultural experience that defines our city,” said Tamala Takahashi, Mayor of the City of Burbank.

“Public art plays an important role in bringing people together, and this exhibition will give our community a shared space for creativity and connection. It reflects Burbank’s commitment to celebrating the arts and creating vibrant places where we can gather and engage,” Takahashi added.

According to Burbank City officials, the seven sculptures set to be on display will include:

— A 12-foot Standing Bear of stainless steel with a striking open-lattice structure that refracts sunlight in every direction,

— A rearing Horse in luminous orange resin, frozen mid-leap at more than 10 feet tall,

— A roaring Lion in Tour de France yellow and spanning 11 feet,

— A Crocodile in Orlinski Red resin, stretching 17 feet with jaws wide open,

— A prowling Wild Cat in luminescent turquoise blue,

— A Wild Kong gorilla with angular form and high-gloss finish; and

— A Howling Wolf

The exhibition dates will coincide with the Los Angeles World Cup 26 Fan Zone in Downtown Burbank on July 18 and 19 where fans will gather to view matches.

This large-scale exhibition marks Orlinski’s Burbank debut. With more than 200 gallery and public installations worldwide including the Grand Palais in Paris, Rodeo Drive in Beverly Hills and the National Art Center in Tokyo, Orlinski has become one of the most-exhibited sculptors working Saturday, city officials announced.
